In the July 12, 2010 issue of People magazine, there is a story about Elizabeth Edwards. Wow, is what I said as I read a quote from her, and then one from her daughter.
From Elizabeth Edwards, "Some things I can say, 'This is just fate.' Those things are easy. The things that are imposed on you by other people are really hard."
From her daughter Cate (on things her mother taught her), "Or how to continue to live your life on your own terms when it somehow becomes savaged by people you never invited into it."
Obviously these comments apply to her life... but I personally love this on so many levels/facets.
It is torture for us all…

I certainly wouldn't want to live a public life and be under that kind of scrutiny. It must be very hard.
ReplyDeleteShe seems like a strong and wise person, not perfect, but compared to that scumbag she's married to. (oops did I say that?) Well its true.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to both quotes on a personal level. Drugs, my daughter and my son-in-law come to mind. I have always thought that I would love to be interviewed one day, but I am glad that I am not famous enough to qualify.
