First a quick update - we are back from the Keys - had a great trip :) Took advice from the comments on last post - THANKS!!! - and meditated and prayed. Felt to call when I wasn't "H.A.L.T." - and my husband confirmed by saying - you might as well b/c you are doing a terrible job of not obsessing either way...
Called Heather on Sunday - at 4:00 (lol Anna!) and left a message with "I love you".
She called back the next day sounding DREARY, ironically at 6:02 pm Monday - 2 minutes after the wedding started! NO I love you in her message, just dreary.
I called her back 2 days later (when it was good for ME) - yesterday - again at 4pm.
Nothing since.

Oh - note - apparently Wordpress was having difficulties tonight - finally got through on most - but "addictionstinks" - I wrote you a LONG comment - hit to post and was told that, "Oops! They detected a problem..." Gave up, but the gist of it was Patsy is fortunate to have you and you're doing great with her!

LIGHT-HEARTED TIME
I've been wanting to write about this random thing - WORD VERIFICATION when leaving comments! "WORD" Verification implies "words" - right???
So here are some I've had to type in:
They often seem SUSPICIOUSLY like words...
everi (vogue way to spell every)
mooprog (a cow's prognosis)
hydroc (a syrup for sore throats)
wownee (Wowie!)
zinges (a real zinger that one)
dentame (like a new cosmetic dental procedure)
tophorn (self-explanatory - the horn that's on top of course)
elbathon (a marathon crawled on your knees and elbows)
downy (fabric softener - duh!)
cympoles (an instrument where you clang together two short metal poles)
kingun (a very small kingdom)
cotimp (when a coyote mates with a chimpanzee)
Then there's the problem of automatic fill-in on the browser... so when I go to type in the word verification "ionsp" - AS SOON AS I type the first letter "i" auto-fill wants to provide me with:
incidi
inesces
inflec
inger
inglud
ingned
ingot
ingsi
ingwo
inisant
I'm like, Uh, thanks for the assist! lol
Okay - been dying to discuss the Word Verification for quite some time now! Glad to get it OUT :)
I am in this ridiculous fight…

Thanks, Heather, I needed a laugh and I'm glad you had a nice trip to the Keys.
ReplyDeletehaha! the word verification will always be a game for me from now on. thanks for making those nonsense 'words' fun :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks for the comment - I believe it did make it thru. Darned Wordpress - all is well now!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time on your trip! The word verification is hilarious!!
Glad you had a good time in the Keys!! Were you in Key West? I was there a year ago February with my husband and we had a fabulous time!! Found out we were pregnant about 2 weeks after we got home...LOL!! Good times!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Glad you had a good trip!
ReplyDeleteI've also noticed that about the word verifications. On one post that dealt with something "otherworldly" the word verification on my comment was something like "exorcist," only slightly different. Cue "Twilight Zone" music. lol
I wanted to thank you for your feedback on favorite blog posts. I was moved by how thoughtful and thorough your response was, even providing a link to the posts you mentioned. What a kind thing to do. Thank you so much.
I am so glad you had fun and I love the word verification fun:)
ReplyDeleteHeh! It is so like you to look for meanings in the verifications. I do that too! My word verification right now is squinko. That's when you're tired of squinting.
